The purpose of this website is to inform collaborators, project partners and colleagues about developments in the new RHX dating technique.
Where are we now?
Undertaking validation work on materials other than brick and tile and also on materials that have been exposed to higher mean lifetime temperatures.
Can we do any dating?
Not on a commercial basis at the moment. The immediate goal is to carry out a comprehensive validation exercise.
What about commercialisation?
We estimate 2-3 years, depending on how rapidly we can expand our laboratory facilities and refine the methodology.
How much will it cost?
We are still in the research phase. At this stage we are interested in streamlining the methodology to increase sample throughput and therefore to reduced the costs to end users.
